Lewisburg, Pa. — Two men were charged with forgery after they passed a $100 counterfeit bill at a Lewisburg convenience store. Woman charged for repeated 911 calls
Orangeville, Pa. — A 63-year-old woman was charged after she called 911 multiple times without reporting an emergency, police say. Darla Moore of Orangeville began calling the 911 center on March 18 at 8 p.m. and continued making multiple non-emergency calls until the following day at 4 a.m., according to Trp. Paul Kelly of state police at Bloomsburg. Police say Moore was warned to stop calling the center unless she was reporting an emergency, but she persisted and was charged with making false reports.
School bus ends in embankment after losing control
White Deer Township, Pa. — A Milton School District school bus crashed early Friday morning, after the driver lost control. According to PSP Milton, the crash occurred just before 7 a.m. The bus exited the right side of River Road in White Deer Township and was traveling north when the passenger wheel encountered eroded ground next to the fogline and asphalt. The bus, of Fishing Creek Transportation, abruptly swerved, hitting a guiderail, sideswiping a utility pole, and finally coming to rest down an embankment, a news release reported. There were no children yet on board and the driver was unharmed, police said. An adult passesnger seated behind the driver was transported to Evangelical Community Hospital for a possbile shoulder injury.
