Ville Platte man charged with seven counts of attempted murder after multi-agency pursuit
Allen Parish deputies arrested a Ville Platte man after a multi-agency pursuit that started in Rapides Parish. He now faces seven attempted second-degree murder charges. Kearrious M. McCoy, 24, of Ville Platte, was arrested Sunday after an attempted carjacking Saturday about 10 p.m. at a convenience store along Louisiana State Highway 112 and Interstate 49 in Lecompte in Rapides Parish, according to a Rapides Parish Sheriff's Office announcement.
