June 5, 1942 to April 26, 2024 - A much-loved Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. Her smile was a shining metaphor to the loving, caring person she was, and you could not help but be captivated it. Faith Ann Bosin, 81, of Warrenton, Oregon, died after an unexpected sickness at Oregon Health Sciences University, Portland, Oregon.

She was born in Englewood, New Jersey in 1942 to Edward and Audrey Nierhoff. Later the family moved cross country by car in 1948 to a community near Milwaukie Oregon. Their family lived a typical American suburban life of work, school and church where they also enjoyed getting out into the Oregon countryside. In school she found a passion in art and even dabbled for a while playing the accordion. Faith attended school at Concord elementary, Milwaukie Jr. High and Graduated from Milwaukie High School in 1960 before becoming a wife and mother. She later entered the workforce in manufacturing and warehousing for over 30 years.

Faith met the love of her life, Gary in 1958 at Milwaukie High School and they married in 1961. Faith and Gary started a family immediately with Greg 1961, Taunji 1964 and Carman 1966. While raising a family in Milwaukie Oregon she supported her husband’s amateur drag racing career until they switched to family camping and venturing around Oregon. They later settled into a country life in 1974 to Eagle Creek, OR on the banks of the Clackamas River where they continued to raise their family and invested heavily into the wellbeing of their grandchildren. In their community Faith oversaw the water system for many years. After becoming a widow in 2018 she moved to Warrenton Oregon in 2019 to be closer to her son where she enjoyed the coastal lifestyle, watching Mariner games and classic movies. She was meticulous in updating and maintaining her homes, creative in decorating indoors and outdoors. In all things, family, work, home she was driven in giving her best in everything she did.

Though she loved her home activities her legacy is in the nurturing of her 5 grandkids with lessons in moral character, responsibility and instilling warm traditions, particularly around the holidays, her favorite being Christmas. She has 5 great grandchildren and loved being their GG’ma.

Faith is survived by her sister Audrey Hadley, Salt Lake City, UT (Daughters Cheryl Lynn, Shauneen, Deanne, Richelle), brother-in-law John Bosin, Gold Canyon, AZ (Wife Elaine, Sons Doug, Matt), Son Greg, Warrenton, OR (Wife Katrina), Daughter Taunji Estill, Portland, OR (Husband Jeff), Daughter Carman Bosin, Culver, OR (Husband Scott), and Grandchildren Rory Gaines, Portland, OR (Sons Dayton and Wyatt), Madelyn Bell, Culver, OR (Husband Anthony, Daughter Elsie and Son Carver), Michael Estill, Portland, OR (Wife Yenifer), Shawn Gaines, Sandy, OR (Wife Suzanne, daughter Jade), and Steven Estill, Portland, OR (Partner Lilly).

She was preceded in death by her Father Ed Nierhoff, Mother Audrey Nierhoff, Mother-in-law Eleanor Bosin, Father-in-law Wayne Bosin, Husband Gary, and Brother-in-law Dee Hadley

A memorial service for Faith will be announced later. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Oregon Humane Society or Disabled American Veterans. The Hughes Ransom Funeral Directors in Astoria, Oregon, are assisting with the funeral arrangements.
