Earth, Arbor days and the Arboretum recognized in Huntington
HUNTINGTON — Tree identification, a proclamation and mulching were just part of the Arbor Day celebration at Huntington’s Evergreen Park Arboretum on Saturday. The celebration continued rain or shine, explained volunteer and Huntington Board of Public Works and Safety member Megan Bonbrake. While windy, the overcast day didn’t produce any major rainfall. Bonbrake said last year it was very sunny and she recalled mulching the playground and painting the building.
