(WPTA) - A Huntington man is among nine Paralympians selected to play for the USA Goalball Team, fighting for a chance to play in the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. The U.S. Association of Blind Athletes announced on Tuesday that Zach Buhler of Huntington joined the USA men’s Goalball Team roster. Columbia City Council approves plan for $25 million in ARPA funding
The Columbia City Council votes to approve how to disperse $25 million in American Rescue Plan Act Funds. The Council voted last night to accept a proposal on how to spend $25.2 million in remaining ARPA funding. The money is being allocated to areas identified as priorities by the community. The resolution awards the largest part of the funds, $8.6 million, toward affordable housing. $5.6 million will go toward homelessness. Huntington University Sees Record Enrollment This Semester
HUNTINGTON, Ind. (WOWO): Officials at Huntington University are celebrating a new milestone in student enrollment. University officials reported earlier this week to Inside Indiana Business that the school enrolled the most students in its history this fall with 1,504 students compared to 1,428 the year before. President Sherilyn Emberton said in a news release that school officials were encouraged to see the growth, all attributed to recent initiatives and new programs. The university recorded 994 undergraduate students at its home campus in Huntington and 242 undergraduates in its Peoria, Arizona, location.
