Rain moves out of the region, make way for the 80s!

REGIONAL - The rain has now pushed off east of the Tri-Cities but we've still got some shower activity over towards Dayton and just south of Walla Walla. Pea-sized hail fell in parts of the Tri-Cities Monday afternoon as a quick thunderstorm passed overhead. That is stemming from a large upper level disturbance that continues to move onshore into the Pacific Northwest and we're going to see a few more spotty showers possible as we continue into the evening hours.
TONIGHT
Wind speeds are holding in the mid to upper 20s with gusts exceeding 30 mph. Some locations have been clocking nearly 40 mph. We will see that ease up a little tonight as the sun sets.
TOMORROW
The wind will continue to be the story until the disturbance moves out of the area. There may be a few lingering showers southeast of the Tri-Cities, towards Pendleton and Walla Walla tomorrow and into the late afternoon. Anyone above 4000 feet will likely see some snowfall continuing, especially into the Cascades and back towards the west and the south. The upper level distrubance will continue to work its way eastward and we'll see the wind back up into the upper 20s to mid 30s with isolated wind gusts of around 40 mph, especially in the higher elevations.
Tomorrow night, we'll continue to see those gusty winds through about 5 p.m. in the higher elevations. Then it will settle down into a much better range as we head towards Wednesday.
LOOK AHEAD
This weekend brings the next phase of a nice weather pattern change, especially if you want to have a taste of summertime in the area. The temps will bring a nice treat for people who like to be out and about outside. A ridge of high pressure settles in and that allows for the wind gusts to die down as we head into Thursday and Friday. Mid week, temps will be in the mid to upper 70s and by the weekend, 80s with plenty of sunshine.
