WACO, TX ( FOX 44 ) — The Baylor Softball team picked up a much needed win on Thursday night over Iowa State, as the Bears cruised to victory against the Cyclones.

Early on, Baylor starting pitcher RyLee Crandall found herself in trouble with runners on second and third with one out in the first inning. The sophomore from Artesia, New Mexico was able to work out of it though with back-to-back strikeouts to keep the game scoreless.

From there, it was all Bears, as they scored runs in the second, third and fourth inning to put the game out of reach.

Meanwhile, on the mound, Crandall found her rhythm, allowing just a single hit as she threw a complete game shutout.

The two teams will now face off once again on Friday, March 29th at 2:00 pm.
