No. 13 Baylor Softball sees another late lead slip away in loss at Kansas

LAWRENCE, KS ( FOX 44 ) — The late game struggled continued for the 13th-ranked Baylor Softball team on Friday night, as the Bears lost to Kansas in game of of their conference series.

It was Glenn Moore’s team that looked to be the comeback kids initially, as Baylor put up two runs in the top of the fifth to erase an early deficit and take a 2-1 lead.

In the bottom of the sixth though, the Jayhawks responded, as Campbell Bagshaw hit a two-run home run to give Kansas the lead for good.

Baylor will now turn its focus to picking up two wins in order to secure a series victory, starting with game two of the weekend, with first pitch set for Saturday, March 16th at 2:00 pm.
