Minnetonka boys place third in state True Team track
No one who follows Minnetonka High boys track was surprised to see senior captain Tobias Williams win three events in state True Team competition May 17 at Stillwater High School. Williams’ wins in the 100- and 200-meter dashes and the long jump propelled Minnetonka to third place in the 12-team event. The Skipper supported their leader with some other impressive performances. As one of the greatest endurance athletes in the history of the Lake Conference, Hopkins junior Sydney Drevlow is a runner and skier the Royals can count on. During the State Class AAA True Team Track and Field Meet May 17 in Stillwater, Drevlow competed in three events while leading the Royals to eighth place in the team standings. Champlin Park softball played three games last week amid an eventful end to the regular season, including a dramatic comeback 4-3 win over Wayzata on May 15.
