Veribest senior wins Marine Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps scholarship

SAN ANGELO, Texas ( Concho Valley Homepage ) — During a ceremony at Veribest High on Tuesday, April 9, Brayden Clark received a Marine Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps scholarship for $180,000.

The Naval Reserve Officers training program is for students to train to become commissioned officers in the Navy or Marine Corps. Clarks is looking forward to his future.

“The military is just kinda always been like a calling to me,” said Clark. “It’s been a place where I can develop myself and I’ve met all sorts of people that are not only there to help other people but there to help me as well and so in that aspect it’s a family to what I can rely on.”

“It sets me up further in life to be well I can of this or I can bounce board off of that in order to obtain not only what my nation needs but also what I need as a person,” he said.

Clark says he wants to major in forensic and investigative sciences.
