Princeton, Clark landmarks among NJ's 10 most endangered historic places in 2024
Two Central Jersey landmarks are on Preservation New Jersey's annual list of the 10 Most Endangered Historic Places in New Jersey. Several challenges face properties on this year’s endangered sites list, including neglect and deferred maintenance, threats from redevelopment and new construction, difficulties in raising preservation funding, and the need for creative adaptive reuse proposals.
Essex County lottery player wins $48,162 in Quick Draw Progressive game
A lottery player in Essex County won a portion of a Quick Draw Progressive jackpot on Wednesday, the New Jersey Lottery announced. The winning ticket sold at the Kaival Mini Store on Washington Avenue in Nutley won 10% of the progressive jackpot worth $48,162. The Quick Draw Progressive Jackpot was over $434,000 on Thursday. ...

Young Verona Residents Win First And Third Place In Annual Essex County Art Contest
VERONA, NJ - Two young residents from Verona township received county recognition for their artistic talents. Essex County Executive Joseph N. DiVincenzo, Jr. announced that Grace Matteo received first place in the Pre-K to 2nd Grade Category in the Annual Essex County G’ART’bage Contest at the Essex County Environmental Center on April 11. The contest combined lessons in art and conservation to raise awareness about the environment and waste prevention. Paint in the Park: Roselle Park Students Exhibited at Union County Art Show
ROSELLE PARK, NJ — Students from across Roselle Park put their talents on display as part of Youth Art Month in Union County. The exhibit, displayed in the Liberty Hall Center atrium in Union, featured 71 pieces of artwork from students grades K-12 between February 28th through March 27th. EDA Approves Key Designations for Netflix and 1888 Studios
The New Jersey Economic Development Authority (EDA) today approved two designations that will further boost the state’s blossoming film and television industry. The first designation makes Netflix a Studio Partner of the state, allowing the media company to access expanded benefits under the state’s Film and Digital Media Tax Credit program. Under the designation agreement, Netflix commits to occupy a New Jersey film production facility for at least 10 years and is potentially eligible for a 40% base tax credit for qualified production expenses on future New Jersey film projects.
