101-Year-Old WWII Veteran celebrates birthday
LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - It’s rare someone gets to see their 101st birthday, but on Friday World War II veteran Alfred “Al” Zieg reached that milestone. Zieg is the sole survivor of the ship he was on. He said everyone else died early in life from cancer due to radiation from being at Nagasaki after the atomic bomb leveled the city.
