    Lou Grasso Resigns as Union H.S. Football Coach

    UNION, NJ -- Lou Grasso announced his resignation as the head football coach at Union High School this week.

    Grasso has accepted the position of athletic director at Colonia High School in Middlesex County, where he will succeed longtime Colonia A.D. Ben LaSala, who is retiring in June.

    Grasso was approved as the Colonia High School athletic director at the meeting of Woodbridge Township Board of Education on Thursday.

    The coach at Union for the last 11 seasons, Grasso posted a record of 67-49 at Union, winning the North Jersey, Section 2, Group 4 championship in 2019.

    The opening night of the 2024 football season is a little more than three months away, and Union is seeking a new varsity football coach now.
