LEHIGH VALLEY, Pa. - Rite Aid has announced another round of store closures as part of its bankruptcy restructuring process, this time affecting two locations in the region. According to a post on the company's website, the Rite Aid at 1650 N. Cedar Crest Blvd. in South Whitehall, Lehigh County and a Schuylkill County store located at 5000 N. Claude Lord Blvd. in Pottsville are among the stores shutting their doors in this latest round.

Police: parent disrupts youth basketball game, injures school officer
WEST HAZLETON, LUZERNE CO. (WOLF) — A man has been charged with being disorderly at a youth basketball game and assaulting and injuring a school resource officer. According to the the Hazleton Area School District Police Department, on April 19, a biddy basketball game was being held at the West Hazleton Elementary/Middle School. During the game, a parent, identified as Heath Allen Houseknecht, 38, began trash talking the coaches.

MINERSVILLE, PA – Anthony Perrego and the Vinnie Salerno Four-Star Racing team are making a habit of stealing the big money shows here at the Big Diamond Speedway. The powerful duo continued their big show dominance last night in winning the 11th annual Money in the Mountains / Fritz Roehrig memorial race. Avid marksman Bert Payne of Penn Forest Township has been waiting for the gun range on state game lands in Nesquehoning to reopen.
