OLYMPIA, Wash. - Police arrested a shoplifting suspect in Olympia earlier this month, and in addition to the stolen goods, officers recovered meth and cash. According to the Olympia Police Department (OPD), officers responded to reports of a shoplifting incident at a local retailer. When officers arrived, they found the suspect exiting the store with unpaid merchandise in her shopping cart and in her purse.

Within a 10-day period, a total of six inmates overdosed. Jail staffers were able to revive the other four using Narcan.

A 15-year-old student from Olympia's Capital High School is denying allegations of carrying a loaded gun on school property. The student was allegedly found with the gun tucked in his waistband in the gym area. A pre-trial hearing is set for September 19.

Two incidents occurred in Lacey, Washington this week. The first incident involved a massive fire in a mobile home park, which spread to two additional homes.
