Motorcyclist killed in crash near Troy, Missouri

LINCOLN COUNTY, Mo. – A Lincoln County man died after crashing his motorcycle along a rural highway near Troy on Monday evening.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s crash report, the crash happened around 8 p.m. on East State Highway U, just east of Highway J, approximately four miles south of Troy.

The highway patrol said Michael Milberg was traveling east on a 2005 Buell XB12R when he lost control of the bike and traveled off the left side of the roadway. Milberg was ejected from the motorcycle.

The Lincoln County Coroner’s Office declared Milberg dead just before 8:15 p.m. Milberg was 40.

Milberg was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, the highway patrol said.
