Virginia Cooperative Extension in collaboration with the Southwest Virginia Chapter of the Society of American Foresters and other members of the forest industry — is offering an environmental education opportunity for teachers from July 8-11. The Briarpatch Amateur Radio Club (BARC) of Galax had an active Winter. Beyond weekly on-air ‘net’ meetings communicated on local 2-meter repeater N4VL/R, the club held in person monthly meetings.
