Edenton Tractor & Implement closing Oct. 31 after 75 years in business
Edenton Tractor & Implement Company will close Oct. 31 after 75 years in business, the White family announced in a letter to customers, friends and community members. The business, at 517 Virginia Road in Edenton, has been owned and operated by the White family for the past 50 years. The announcement did not give a reason for the closing or describe plans for the property. In the letter, the family described the closing as bittersweet and thanked employees and the generations of customers who supported the company. “It has been a privilege to serve this community, build lasting friendships and share in so many meaningful moments with generations of customers,” the family wrote. The family also thanked those who shopped at the business, recommended it to others and supported the family over the years. “Your loyalty and friendship made our 75-year journey possible, and the memories we have created together will always hold a special place in our hearts,” the letter said. It concluded: “On behalf of the entire White family, thank you for being part of our story.”
