National Association of Letter Carriers holds rally calling for bill to pass to protect letter carries
MOLINE, Ill. (KWQC) - The National Association of Letter Carriers held a rally Friday in Moline calling for the passage of House Bill 7629, Protect our Letter Carriers Act. The legislation was introduced in March 2024 as a bipartisan bill to address the rise of violent crimes committed against letter carriers as they carry out their duties.
ICash site helps Spanish-speaking Illinois residents find missing money and unclaimed property
A new website will allow Spanish-speaking people in Illinois to search for missing money and unclaimed property. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs announced the creation of the ICash website in Moline. Frerichs was joined by Greater Quad Cities Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and area Latino leaders. Users of the website can enter their name or a business name, city and zip code into the search box to search for unclaimed properties.

Elks Club, Davenport, honors Flag Day
Friday marked Flag Day, a day that commemorates the adoption of the U.S. flag by the second Continental Congress that occurred on June 14, 1777. To honor the day, Elks Lodge 298 in Davenport held a flag presentation. In the ceremony, they retired the club’s flag and replaced it with a new one. IDOT to begin working on 104th Street in Rock Island County
