West Orange Troop 6 Scouts Place Flags at the Graves of Fallen Soldiers at Gettysburg
GETTYSBURG, PA -- The Troop 6 Scouts were honored to place flags at the graves of fallen soldiers at Gettysburg National Cemetery this weekend. The famous cemetery is where President Lincoln gave his Gettysburg address. Fairfield minister receives cochlear implant
Fairfield minister-in-training, young father, and all-around good guy Anthony “Nay” Keller began noticing hearing loss in 2020 during the start of COVID. Once masks became the norm, Nay quickly realized how much he had been relying on lip reading. Over the next three years, Nay’s genetic hearing loss quickly progressed to a profound level of 90+ decibels, essentially deafness. He found himself struggling to communicate at work as the Seton Shrine groundskeeper, having difficulty hearing in his ministry courses at Lancaster Bible College and questioning if he should even continue volunteering in the men’s ministry at his church, Gettysburg Foursquare.
Ten Years of Free 5K’s in Gettysburg
The very first Free 5K put on by the Physical Fitness Task Force of Healthy Adams County was attended by 40 runners on Sunday, March 29th, 2015. Since that first run, we have held two free 5K’s each year (except during Covid). If it hadn’t been for Covid, this would have been our 10th year of running Free 5K’s.
