The Gettysburg Warriors Boys’ Lacrosse team entered Monday’s contest with their sights set on securing their second win of the season as they faced the 0 – 11 West York Bulldogs. While the rivalry has only been around for three seasons, the two squads have had historically physical encounters. The Bulldogs and Warriors filled the penalty sheet as the two squads combined for a season-high 15:30 in penalty minutes. Players limped from the field, bodies were bruised, a facemask was bent, and sticks broke as the two teams battled through the forty-eight minutes of the game. Ultimately, West York proved to have too much firepower as they prevailed 16 – 3.
