Opinion: Duluth schools are writing fewer tickets. Don’t confuse that with safer schools.
Duluth Public Schools would like the community to notice that police officers issued only 12 citations to students during the last school year, down from 115 five years earlier. With Luke Nauertz having 21 carries for 116 yards with a touchdown, and Noah Wekseth having 19 carries for 88 yards, our seniors in the backfield combined for 40 carries totaling 204 yards. “In the passing game Jax Foss was 9 for 17 with 69 yards and two touchdowns, one being to Ben Eichten and the other being to Hurley Burke. Other receptions in the game went to DJ Johnson, Josh Hanson, and Ben Seim. “Looking forward to Hayward next week we hope to continue to build on our success of the running game from last week and our success of the passing game from week 1,” said coach Hanson.
