Council also heard renewed concerns about garbage carts being left along city streets, while City Manager Charles Penny discussed a potential promotional video highlighting Statesboro at an October conference. He said the city will return to council once negotiations are complete. Replacement buses Council authorized the city to request four replacement vehicles through the Coastal Regional Commission for Statesboro Area Transit’s FY2028 funding cycle.
