Deputies: Man steals narcotics at gunpoint from Peach Orchard Pharmacy
AUGUSTA, Ga. (WFXG) - The Richmond County Sheriff's Office is searching for two people in connection to an armed robbery at an Augusta pharmacy. Just after 11 a.m. Tuesday, Mar. 21, deputies responded to Peach Orchard Drugs on Peach Orchard Rd. for a reported armed robbery. According to witnesses, a man wearing dark clothes and carrying a dark bag entered the business, approached the pharmacy counter, displayed a handgun, and demanded prescription narcotics. After getting the drugs, he fled the scene in a dark-colored SUV driven by a woman. The SUV was last seen driving down Woodward Ave.

Accident on Wrightsboro Road Leaves Two Injured
Richmond County authorities were called to a report of a single vehicle accident in the parking lot of the post office on Wrightsboro Road this afternoon. The driver reportedly entered the parking lot, hit the curb, then crashed into a tree. The impact caused the vehicle to overturn. Authorities say the driver and the passenger in the car were taken to a local hospital for treatment, but it’s not known how seriously they were hurt.
