FOX 2 (WJBK) - Two crashes involving road crews shut down I-75 near Schaefer - the workers are going to be okay but one of the drivers was critically injured. The Jeep Compass overturned and mangled - missing wheels and even the engine. The driver was 48-year-old Greg Hartunian - a retired Madison Heights police officer for years before retiring.

FARMINGTON HILLS — The cities of Farmington Hills and Farmington have each been selected to be part of a multi-city tour of a traveling exhibit. The “Underground Railroad and Abolition Movement in Southern Oakland County-Traveling Exhibit and Website” was initially displayed at the Southfield Public Library in January.

SOUTH LYON- More, more, more. The 20th annual South Lyon Area Creek Cleanup was all about more — more volunteers, more area covered and more garbage removed. “It was our best ever cleanup,” Suzann Martin, organizer and wellhead protection committee member, said. “Just in the number of people who came out to help and the amount of items brought in off the water and everybody having a great time. Everyone came together and did a great job.”Roughly 140 volunteers, including members of the city council, civic groups, students, Scouts, police and firefighters, and special guest Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist fanned out across the city, and into Lyon and Green Oak townships, to fish items out of waterways and wetlands.
