Joe Agnello Comes Into His Own on Latest Solo Record

On the first track of his new album as Joe Something, Picture Pepper Potato Brain, singer-songwriter and guitar shredder Joe Agnello has Robert De Niro on his mind. “I’m your Midnight Run / I’m De Niro in Heat,” the Burlington musician sings on the chorus to the aptly named “Deniro in Heat.” The song, which starts out with the sound of a film projector being loaded, references Michael Mann’s 1995 thriller, Heat, starring De Niro.

Glazed Donuts’ New Essex Café to Replace Leo & Co.

Leo & Co. in the Essex Experience will close on November 13 to be replaced by a new Glazed Café operated by Glazed Donuts. The doughnut maker has shared the Leo & Co. space at 21 Essex Way since August. Glazed co-owner Rachel Lee, 36, said she and her husband, Jordan, hope to launch their new café in early December. During the transition, Lee said that doughnuts will still be available but only by online preorder.

South Burlington to unveil new 'Jambo' public art piece

A new permanent sculpture by David Stromeyer will be dedicated at South Burlington’s Veterans Memorial Park at 5 p.m. Oct. 30. The public is invited to attend the dedication of “Jambo,” according to a community announcement. The installation is being added to the city’s public art collection through a donation from and collaboration with South Burlington community member Todd Lockwood.
