Sun Prairie woman identified as mobility scooter driver killed in crash

SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. -- The Dane County Medical Examiner's Office identified a mobility scooter driver who died after a crash last week in Sun Prairie.

Terri L. Smith, 65, of Sun Prairie died at a hospital on Saturday, May 11, from injuries sustained in a crash that occurred on Friday, May 10, near the intersection of O'Keeffe Ave. and Sunfield Street at around 9:15 p.m.

Police said Smith was traveling north on O'Keeffe Ave. prior to the crash. The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement.

The crash remains under investigation by the Sun Prairie Police Department and Dane County Medical Examiner's Office.
