Crews suspend recovery operation in Schuylkill County
SCHUYLKILL COUNTY, Pa. — A water recovery operation has now been suspended in Schuylkill County. Dive teams were called to a former coal stripping mine, now used as a local swimming area, in a wooded area just off of East Main Street in Butler Township near Girardville around 2:15 p.m. Tuesday.

Power Outage Closes Elementary School In Allentown
Jackson Early Childhood Center is also closed for the day, administrators said. No other Allentown schools are affected by the outage.
