Northampton Area School District OKs proposed budget
The Northampton Area School District Board of Directors adopted a proposed 2024-25 budget with no tax increase on property owners. The board at their April 8 meeting directed Superintendent Joseph Kovalchik and Business Administrator Craig Neiman to produce a proposed final budget which held the line on taxes. This came after the duo offered various scenarios which included tax increases if Moore Elementary School was to close, and options if Moore was to remain open.
