UPDATE (12:39 p.m.): The second suspect arrested in connection with the May Day shooting in Stockton is due in court this afternoon, News 5 has learned.
WKRG News 5’s Debbie Williams spoke with investigators after 19-year-old Tyquan French was arrested and charged with the murder of 24-year-old Christian Bradley last night.
Bradley was French’s target, investigators believe, but authorities say that doesn’t mean French will only face charges related to his murder.
“When you have a crowd of a thousand people and you’re firing numerous rounds at a person, some of those are going to miss, and some of those are going to go into a crowd, so certainly there’s a potential (that) he will be charged with additional felony charges,” said Baldwin County Chief Deputy Anthony Lowery.
French’s court hearing is scheduled for this afternoon. News 5 has learned that prosecutors will pursue an Aniah’s Law hearing , which would be a first for Baldwin County.
UPDATE (9:30 a.m. 5/17): The Baldwin County Sheriff’s Office has released more information about the arrest of 19-year-old Tyquan French in connection with the mass shooting in Stockton, Ala.
“Our job is not done, and we will continue to give our best effort as we sift through the facts of this case,” read a BCSO news release.
“We want to thank those who have come forward with information; however, we still need help from witnesses and victims who attended this event to close their investigation.”
Anyone with information on the shooting can contact BCSO at 251-972-8589.
