Calm first half of the day, showers and some thunder move in overnight
The good news is that the bulk of the heavier rain will hold off until overnight. However, there is still the chance for some on-and-off pre-frontal showers/drizzle during the first half of the day Monday, but not a wash out. So, any parades and outdoor events scheduled earlier in the day should escape the worst of the rain. Expect increasing cloud cover through the morning with rain moving in from west to east tonight. Highs will reach the lower 60′s along the coast and mid to upper 60′s inland. Late tonight is when we expect the main batch of rain to move through. There is also the possibility for embedded downpours and rumbles of thunder as the front crosses the state. Winds could be gusting out of the southeast up to 25-30+ mph possible.
