BANGOR (WGME) -- A Florida man will spend eight years behind bars for bringing large quantities of meth to Maine and distributing it in Bangor and Houlton. A judge sentenced 32-year-old Jared Fogg in U.S. District Court in Bangor on Monday to eight years in prison followed by five years of supervised release.
An Attempted Traffic Stop in Bangor Ended With a Rollover Crash
Bangor Police say a response to a report of a suspicious person ended with a rollover crash on Hammond Street. Detective Lieutenant Brent Beaulieu says police received a report of someone acting suspiciously on Second Street at around 11:30 Monday night. While officers were responding to the scene, the caller told police that the man in question had started driving a BMW, which was now operating erratically in the middle of the street.

Devastating Greenfield House Fire Takes the Home of a Family of 7
A couple and their five children are safe after a fire destroyed their home in Greenfield. The fire reported at around 10:00 Sunday morning in Greenfield was dramatic, with huge flames leaping from the roof of the structure. It claimed the house and at least one of two vehicles belonging to the family of five. The Milford Fire/Rescue Department reported on its Facebook page that the cause of the fire has been determined to be electrical in nature, starting on the first floor and making its way through the roof. Not that there's ever a good time for a fire, but just before Christmas and at the start of a long winter, the loss seems even tougher. Especially when you factor in that the family includes five children.
