UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) — Penn State wrestler Carter Starocci announced on social media that he will be returning to Penn State for a fifth season. This past year Starocci won his fourth national championship and now has the chance to become the first five time NCAA champion next season.

Starocci had another strong season at 174 pounds for the Nittany Lions and at one point had a streak of winning 64 matches in a row, however it ended after an injury he suffered in the final regular season match and caused him to miss the Big Ten Tournament. Starocci was able to heal in time for the NCAA Tournament and received an at large bid to allow him to become a four time champion.
