Pennsylvania Advances Education Savings Bill with Employer Tax Credits
The Pennsylvania Senate Finance Committee has approved House Bill 1745, which aims to enhance the state’s PA 529 College and Career Savings Program and PA ABLE Savings Program. Sponsored by Rep. Paul Friel, the bill introduces tax credits for employers who match employee contributions to these plans. Additionally, the legislation allows the transfer of surplus funds from PA 529 plans to Roth IRAs without state taxes.
