Canine forensic team arrives week of May 20 to search AGC Road
A canine forensic unit will be on site the week of May 20 at the CSAH 37 road project (aka Ah-Gwah-Ching cut-across) off State Highway 371 south of Walker, to search for possible human remains. “We are working with the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council and the Office of the State Archeologist as the responsible authority for this evaluation,” Cass County Administrator Josh Stevenson told The Pilot-Independent May 9. “The result of the evaluation will determine the next steps on the completion of the road project.” ...

As the Grand Rapids Area Community Foundation (GRACF) celebrates its 30 th anniversary, it is starting a fundraising campaign called the “Seeds of Change”. In an effort to uplift the invaluable work of local nonprofits and bolster the Community Foundation’s sustainability, GRACF is going to take the next few months to raise funds and awareness. The potential funding for nonprofits could be up to $15,000. More information can be found on the Seeds of Change page on the GRACF website.
