(Bemidji) Today is an e-learning day across the Bemidji School District today. ISD 31 Superintendent Jeremy Olson communicated a statement late last evening saying that law enforcement had identified a credible threat made against a District 31 school, and that police had recommended classes not be held in person today. A Bemidji Police Department press release this morning says that overnight, BPD Officers were able to identify the source of the telephone number from which the threat was made. A further search revealed the account holder, and the phone number was traced to a Bemidji city residence. A juvenile was subsequently arrested on suspicion of Felony Terroristic Threats this morning, Due to logistical issues, the District will remain on e-learning for the day, but there is no longer a present threat. The school district and BPD expressed mutual appreciation for the efficiency and motivation that resulted in a quick resolution of the threat situation.
