Show You Care: Chain Reaction Bike Hub works to get bikes to disadvantaged communities
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - The newly opened Chain Reaction Bike Hub in Cedar Rapids is trying to make bikes more accessible for everyone. It’s a volunteer-led initiative where old or unused bikes are refurbished and given away for free or sold for cheap. The effort is a labor of love from the group’s volunteers, who have been happy with all the support they’ve received from the city.
Caitlin Clark says she’s in ‘basketball shape’ ahead of first preseason game
CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (KCRG) - It has been a quick turnaround for Caitlin Clark, but physically she feels she is ready to go. “I’m in really good basketball shape. I’ve been playing basketball for however many months here,” Clark said. “I was playing my best basketball of my career at the end of my career (at Iowa), now I get to turn the page go to a new chapter of my life, and have confidence coming from there into this.”
