Probably the highest profile journalist to come from Hendersonville was on pace to attend Hendersonville High, but ended up going to junior high and high school in Miami. Jim Lampley, born in Hendersonville in 1949, attended local schools through sixth grade. But even after moving to Miami with his mom, he spent every summer in Hendersonville.

Child hospitalized after dog attack in Greenbrier
GREENBRIER, Tenn. (WSMV) - Police are investigating a dog attack that left a young boy with a serious head injury on Wednesday evening in Greenbrier. Smokey Barn News reports that Greenbrier Police officers and Robertson County EMS were dispatched to a home on Rose Street around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday after a 911 call came in for a dog attack. The officers arrived first to find a 5-year-old boy with a laceration on his head approximately 11 inches long, Smokey Barn reports.

Long-term closure on KY 100 in Franklin set to begin next week
FRANKLIN, Ky. (WBKO) - Road work in Simpson County is expected to close a portion of KY 100 starting next week. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet announced a 21-day closure between U.S. 31-W and KY 1008 in Franklin beginning next Tuesday, May 28, as a result of planned rehabilitation on the concrete roadway.
