Eugene woman killed in shooting, suspect apprehended, LCSO says
EUGENE, Ore. – Lane County deputies responded to a reported shooting in a residential neighborhood that left two injured Wednesday afternoon. According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, at about 3:40 p.m. on April 24 deputies heard reports of shots fired on Cinnamon Avenue in Eugene. Deputies arrived to find one woman with a gunshot wound, identified as Melissa Holland, who later died of her injuries. Deputies said the suspect left the scene in an older silver SUV before law enforcement arrived.

Eugene police find fentanyl, guns during traffic stop
EUGENE, Ore. – A man is behind bars on charges including delivery of fentanyl and unlawful possession of a firearm after a traffic stop Tuesday morning, Eugene police said. According to Eugene Police Department, officers spotted a person driving recklessly in the River Road area in the morning of April 23. Police said they pulled over the vehicle and arrested Emilio Tobon, 22, for driving under the influence of intoxicants. Police also said they found fentanyl and more than $7,000 in cash in Tobon’s possession, and noticed he had a gun in the vehicle. A K-9 team who responded to the scene found evidence of more drugs in the car, and a search of the vehicle found more fentanyl, packaging materials, scales, and four handguns, according to Eugene police.

Eugene Man Suspected of DUII Unveils Secret Stash: Drugs, Cash, and Firearms Found
In a routine check gone south, police in the River Road area have nabbed a man for reckless driving that led to a discovery of drugs, firearms, and a wad of cash. The Eugene Police Department reported that Emilio Tobon was taken into custody on charges of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) on April 23, according to the City of Eugene, Oregon.

WEST RICHLAND- Chief Tom Grego of the West Richard Police Department issued a statement at 3:15PM April 23rd stating the following:. At approximately 3pm on Tuesday, April 23rd, the Oregon State Patrol located the subject vehicle driving southbound on Interstate 5, near Eugene, Oregon, and initiated a pursuit. The pursuit ended with OSP reporting that the suspect sustained a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, with his current condition unknown. The 1-year-old child, Roman Santos, was taken safely into custody by OSP troopers.
