Coon Rapids man sentenced for fentanyl possession during arrest
A Coon Rapids man, Tanner Nicholas Delaney, age 24, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level drug possession over an incident last February. According to court documents, on Feb. 4, the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office was called to an area business on a report Delaney was there. Delaney had current warrants out for his arrest. Delaney was found in the parking lot and taken into custody. During a search, he was found with fentanyl on his person, and he admitted smoking it two hours earlier.
Jackson man sentenced in Redwood County Court for armed stalking
A Jackson man, Preston Scott Reinke, age 21, has been sentenced in Redwood County Court for felony-level stalking. According to court documents, on April 27, 2023, a Redwood County Sheriff’s Office investigator spoke with a victim who stated he had been threatened by Reinke with a gun at a party on June 5, 2021. The investigator spoke with a witness who stated he had seen Reinke show off the gun half-hidden in his waistband at that party.
Morton Fire Department hosts blood drive to honor former firefighter
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Charles “Chuck” Robinson served the Morton Fire Department for more than 40 years. Robinson passed away from a heart attack at the end of 2021, and now his family and the entire Morton community honors his service with an annual April blood drive supporting the American Red Cross.
Redwood Falls man sentenced for failure to keep his predatory offender registry updated
A Redwood Falls man, David Lee Backdahl, age 62, was sentenced in Redwood County Court for not updating his registration as a predatory offender. According to court documents, on July 6, 2023, a Redwood Falls police officer went to Backdahl’s current residence to do a compliance check. Backdahl is required to be registered until Sept. 2030 with the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension as a predatory offender.
