    Unattended cooking material causes fire in Springfield

    SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) — One person is without a home following a kitchen fire in Springfield on Sunday afternoon.

    Crews put out brush fire on Crooked Ledge Road in Southampton

    Just after 2 p.m. Springfield Fire crews were sent to a fire at 414 Berkshire Ave. The source of the fire was found to be from unattended cooking material on a kitchen stove.

    According to the Springfield Fire Department, one person is without a home and is currently being assisted by the Red Cross.
