LIMA, Ohio (June 7, 2024) Rolling between Indiana and Ohio this past week, Abby Hohlbein kept busy with USAC Indiana Midget Week at Lincoln Park, followed by GLSS at Limaland. Behind the wheel with Joyner Motorsports on Thursday, June 6, Abby had to play catchup after hitting the scales light during qualifying. Ninth in her Heat Race, that would place her in the Semi Feature where she crossed 11th.
Lima gets first look inside new Spring and Main restaurants
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - After four years of planning and work, the Lima community got to see the finished product of Spring and Main. For the grand reveal of the spaces, visitors enjoyed cocktails and took guided tours of all four new businesses on the block, which are housed in two rehabilitated historic buildings constructed in the early 1900's.
Delphos' Music in the Park series kicks off for the summer
DELPHOS, OH (WLIO) - The Delphos community pulled up their lawn chairs to enjoy live music. Sunday evening was the first of six concerts for the Delphos Rotary Club's 19th annual Music in the Park. The series features a mix of local bands and some from as far as Cleveland and Indiana. Each night, a different non-profit sells concessions to raise money for their organization, and the shows are always free thanks to over a dozen local sponsors. Many Delphos residents make it a tradition to get the family together for every show.

Rollover crash on Cable Road sends a juvenile to the hospital
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - Lima fire, police, and EMS responded to a two-vehicle injury rollover crash this afternoon on the city's west end. Around 2:30, a blue pickup truck collided with a gray SUV on Cable Road near Westgate Entertainment Center. The force of the crash caused the SUV to roll over on its top, with one tire popping off.

VAN WERT — Several dozen children crowded a room at The Brumback Library Tuesday afternoon to learn more about the Van Wert Robotics program. Nellie Schmidt, director of The Brumback Library, said she was responsible for coordinating this summer’s events for the children. She praised the assistance provided by the children’s librarian who has planned the program in the past who provided recommendations.
Kids learning safety tips thanks to Lima Noon Optimists
The Lima Noon Optimist Club is continuing their mission to keep children safe this summer. This is the second week of their Safety City program, dedicated to teaching kids vital safety skills, from navigating traffic to understanding fire safety and even personal safety tips. Kids participate in interactive sessions where they learn to cross streets safely and understand the importance of staying alert in different situations.
