Lisa Kroehler has authored a book titled "Never Say Never" that tells the story of the obstacles she and her husband faced and conquered. They met on a cruise and fell in love, and she moved to Minnesota. His pig farm was in financial trouble and collapsed.

Somber wreath laying ceremony follows Lima's Memorial Day Parade
LIMA, OH (WLIO) - After the parade, veterans and civilians gathered at the VFW Post 1275 for a more formal tribute to the military's fallen. The wreath-laying ceremony included a tribute from the Allen County Commissioners, a speech by a member of the Indiana National Guard explaining traditions like laying coins at the graves of soldiers to show your relationship to the fallen and the importance of showing appreciation to Gold Star Families, and wrapped up with the playing of Taps. Everyone was welcome to lay a wreath beside the ceremonial casket in honor of a soldier they knew who passed away. While Memorial Day can include fun activities, it's important to take time to think about the real meaning of the holiday.
Lima man receives prison time for trespassing, assault
LIMA — A Lima man was sentenced to a minimum of five years in prison for trespassing and assault. William Gillette, 45, of Lima, was indicted on burglary and felonious assault, second-degree felonies, as well as domestic violence, a third-degree felony. He negotiated a guilty plea in April that included the dismissal of the domestic violence charge, leaving a lesser charge of trespassing, a fourth-degree felony, and felonious assault, a second-degree felony.

VAN WERT — The American Legion will be holding its Memorial Day service at Woodland Cemetery on May 27 at 11 a.m. with honors by a combined Color Guard, a cannon volley, and 21-gun salute. Keynote speaker will be Stephanie Renner. A wreath laying will also take place. Soup and sandwiches will follow at the Legion for those in attendance.
