It's the story of a fall from grace for an Upstate school administrator. Cherokee County School Superintendent Dr. Dana Fall reportedly plans to resign in June.

Fall has been on administrative leave since late last month. Just prior to that Fall announced plans to be the new Superintendent of Spartanburg School District 4. After a public meeting, the District 4 school board decided not to hire Fall and paused their search.

The Cherokee County School Board voted last Thursday to accept Fall's resignation.

There's been no specific reason announced on why Fall was placed on leave or why he wasn't hired in Spartanburg, after it seemed at first to be a done deal.
