SPARTA, NJ – Sparta boys lacrosse defeated Montville on Monday 10-4, playing on the Spartan turf. Three Spartans each had three goals.

Hunter Takacs, Matt Ciarelli and Eddie Brown each got past the Mustangs’ keeper. Takaca had two assists and Ciarelli had one.

Marco Aquino also had a goal and an assist in the outing.

Luke Spelman earned three assists. Sam Sakowski had two.

Adam Teixeira won 11 of 15 faceoffs. Greg Peters snagged 10 ground balls, Sakowski picked up five.

Parker Hein was in net for Sparta for the win making eight stops. Jake Alliegro also had time between the pipes with one save.

The boys’ record is now 7-1. On Thursday they will host Roxbury for the senior game at 5:30.
