WESTFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – The Southwick Rams and the South Hadley Tigers held a fundraiser on Saturday for the RD26 Foundation, which is in memory of Ryan Doyle , a teen who died of a rare form of bone cancer.

17-year-old died at Southwick dirt bike racing event

The baseball fundraiser held in Westfield will raise money for the foundation from ticket sales to the JV and varsity games, as well as a bake sale and a raffle. Two coaches overseeing the game told 22News how important it is to support this foundation and encourage people to support its mission.

“It’s important to get involved and to make yourself familiar with the story. If you know of anybody who is in need of the RD26 foundation is willing to help in any situation.”

Bolke also said people should consider donating and are invited to come to this event next year.
