Special Olympics Race
For the 8th consecutive year Suffield Academy’s cross country program hosted the annual Special Olympics/Suffield Academy XC race on September 16. The 3K and 5K runs are held on our cross country course, and the event provides an opportunity for athletes with and without intellectual disabilities to compete together, gain physical fitness, and have fun. Suffield Academy students from the cross country, water polo, and JV field hockey teams were placed on teams with Special Olympics athletes and awards were given to the top three teams.
