Texas State falls to Texas A&M in pitcher's duel
Texas State fell to Texas A&M 1-0 in a pitcher’s duel between two of the best pitchers in the nation. The Bobcats and Head Coach Ricci Woodard will play later tonight in the elimination game. “We talked about how one pitch can change a ballgame,” Woodard said. “I don’t feel that one pitch changes a game but one inning did. Mullins threw her tail end off and we just didn’t get anything to come through. We had some base running mistakes by a couple of young players but other than that it was a great game.” Starting pitcher Jessica Mullins threw a complete...

Bobcats look to make history at College Station Regional
Texas State returns to the NCAA Tournament for the second time in a row and the program’s 12th tournament appearance overall. Going into the College Station Regional, the Bobcats entered as the Sun Belt tournament champions after defeating Louisiana in the championship game last Saturday. “It obviously gives us confidence,” Third baseman Sara Vanderford said. “Taking that and using it as momentum is going to give us confidence heading into the regional. We are starting to realize we can hang with anybody.” Texas State and Head Coach Ricci Woodard ran through a gauntlet in the tournament and emerged unscathed despite having to play...
2025 Aggie commit is poised to help build Texas A&M’s 2025 recruiting class
For Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko, “winning” his first offseason with the program isn’t about gaining as many five-star prospects as possible but landing commitments from prospects who fit the scheme and, most importantly, the program’s culture. Last week, Texas A&M reeled in another big fish in the 2025 recruiting class. Four-star cornerback and high school quarterback Cobey Sellers chose the Aggies over Texas and Oklahoma, developing a close relationship with Elko and his staff over the past seven months. This week, TexAgs assistant recruiting analyst Cade Draughon noted on Social Media (X) that as Sellers enters his final senior season...
2025 4-star safety out of Phoenix (AZ) is back on Texas A&M’s radar
As we consistently say in the media during the summer months, recruiting never stops, and no commitment is solid until the pen hits the paper during the early and official signing period at the end of the year. This week, Texas A&M is back in play for 2025 four-star safety Rylon Dillard-Allen, who recently decommitted from Arizona State. Coincidentally, Dillard-Allen is set to visit College Station next month from June 13-15, and for those who haven’t watched him live or viewed his film, this young man has a ton of upside at the next level. Possessing elite closing speed, Dillard-Allen fits the safety mold as a consistent run defender with the athleticism to hold up in coverage. At the same time, his instincts made him a leader in the backfield. During his 2023 junior season, the Arizona native recorded 43 tackles, two pass breakups, and two interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown. According to 247Sports, Dillard-Allen is currently the 33rd-ranked safety in the 2025 cycle and the fourth-ranked player in Arizona. 📍#GigEm pic.twitter.com/dORyBAMfMy — Rylon “Batman” Dillard-Allen (@RyDillardAllen) May 14, 2024 Contact/Follow us @AggiesWire on Twitter, and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Texas A&M news, notes, and opinions.
