SLIPPERY ROCK TWP., Pa. (WKBN) — Two people were flown to St. Elizabeth Hospital with serious injuries after a crash in Slippery Rock Township Wednesday evening.

It happened on U.S. Route 422 east of the intersection with Young Road around 1:40 p.m.

According to a report from Pennsylvania State Police, a car going east on Route 422 crossed the center lane into westbound traffic when it was hit by another car.

The second car lost control and its trailer hit a guardrail, breaking away from the car. The car then went into eastbound traffic and hit another car.

The driver and passenger in the first car were flown to the hospital. The driver of the second car wasn’t hurt. The driver of the third car was also flown to the hospital.
