Prosecutors on Thursday said they didn’t blame Christian Glass for refusing to get out of his own car in the last hour of his life. In closing arguments to a jury in Georgetown in the trial of Andrew Buen, the former sheriff’s deputy charged in the 22-year-old Boulder man’s homicide, Fifth Judicial District Attorney Heidi McCollum compared Glass to an animal in a cage, who was poked, prodded and tortured by law enforcement.

1 dead, 2 hurt in crash on Colorado's Berthoud Pass
One person died in a crash on Berthoud Pass (U.S. Highway 40) along the Clear Creek County portion of the highway on Friday afternoon. According to Colorado State Patrol, it was a head-on crash that caused the closure. One person was killed, and two people were rushed to the hospital with injuries. Both directions were closed between Winter Park and Empire for around 5 hours before returning to normal traffic around 8:30 p.m. What happened leading up to the crash is being investigated. On the Colorado Department of Transportation camera, snow was falling in the area, and the roads were wet. The identity of the victim who died and the two taken for hospital treatment were unknown on Friday night.
Keystone hires John Crone, a former official for Grand Lake, as new town manager
The town of Keystone has hired John Crone as its new town manager with council members voting to approve Crone’s contract on Tuesday. Crone currently serves as the town manager for Grand Lake, a position he has held since 2019. Before that, he served as the housing coordinator for the town of Winter Park. He lives in Summit County.
